I read out of a calendar/datebook each day called We’Moon, and the short reading for today was quite inspiring. I just wanted to take a moment to share it with you all.
Last night, I dreamed I was part of a secret society of women, women who fixed things. We met in a warehouse in the middle of the night. We stood together, acknowledging our strength, honoring each other for our courage for we had each one of us braved the streets and whatever situations we left behind to be here on this night, in secret, to fix things.
We joined together in groups of six or seven, women who knew each other as friends, as lovers, as family, and women who had never before met in this lifetime. Women who had dedicated their lives — and their nights — to this secret society for years, and women, like me, who had stumbled upon it, who just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
In our groups, we got to know one another so that our task of fixing things would go more smoothly. We learned the situation and how to use the tools, we learned how to work together, we learned how to rely on each other, we talked, we sang, we laughed together, we embraced and supported one another.
And when the time came, we set to the task of fixing things, not quite realizing how much we had already repaired.
